PRESENTED BY IYALODE PRODUCTIONS AND THE AUBURN AVENUE RESEARCH LIBRARY

On March 19th to March 22nd 2009, Iyalode (e-yah-lo-day) Productions will be hosting its 5th Annual Women of Color Arts & Film (WOCAF) Festival at various locations, including the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

The WOCAF Festival is the only festival of its kind in the Southeast that focuses on the achievements of women of color in the arts and media from across the globe. “This is a unique opportunity to spotlight the many achievements of not only women, but women of color, who are not always afforded a platform to showcase their work”, says Mojisola Sonoiki, Founder and Festival Director of WOCAF. “We are very excited to showcase the works of talented female filmmakers/artists from diverse backgrounds and to commend them for their contributions to the artistic communities”.

This year’s festival promises to be just as exciting as the previous WOCAF festivals and is a must see. Please mark your calendar and stay tuned for a full schedule of events for WOCAF 2009. A segment of The Women of Color Arts and Film Festival is free and open to the public. For more information visit Log onto: WWW.WOCAF.ORG
