The Nigeria Nursing Excellence Award is a project designed to achieve the under listed objectives:
1.      Recognize, encourage and reward Nigerian Nurses who are extraordinary in the discharge of their duties.
2.      To reawaken the ethical and professional consciousness of nursing and indeed the health-care profession.
3.      To provide an inducement for the awardees to do more and be a focus for other health workers to emulate their good examples.
