announce its innovative course entitled: </p>
<p><b>Promoting Development through effective and Transformative Gender Trainings: A Training of Facili-Trainers. </p>
<p>WGI is an initiative geared towards building a critical mass of gender equality specialists around the globe, especially in Africa.<br />
Through WGI and other tailor-made courses, WERHC is poised to transform indigenous organizations into vibrant entities that deliver quality results in a timely and accountable manner.</p>
<p>This course which brings together a total of 30 participants from all over Africa is tailor-made for trainers, potential trainers, Gender focal persons, staff of Gender equality departments, gender equality advocates,mentors, team leaders, programme/project managers and coordinators, middle to senior executives with facilitating<br />
responsibilities and marketing managers.</p>
<p>The course is based on WERHC&#8217;s Gender Training Modules and will cover the following topics:</p>
<p>-What is training?<br />
-Exploring the Training Cycle,training needs assessment,design/planning,<br />
 implementation, monitoring and evaluation<br />
-Practical tips on organizing and executing trainings<br />
-Adult learning theories, principles and styles<br />
-Memory techniques<br />
-Training/facilitation skills,Qualities of a facili-trainer etc<br />
-Organizing effective work groups,Team development/group dynamics<br />
-How to use case studies, role plays,audio visuals, energisers<br />
-Gender-related concepts and gender analytical frameworks<br />
-Power relations and decision-making<br />
-Gender and Masculinity<br />
-Promoting male support for gender mainstreaming<br />
-Understanding Gender Analytical frameworks<br />
-Applying gender to Governance,Reproductive Health,HIV/AIDS, Violence,<br />
 Education<br />
-Gender Management Systems</p>
<p>Methodology:<br />
A combination of participatory training methods will be employed including<br />
presentations, discussions, questions and answers, brainstorming, role<br />
plays, self assessments etc.</p>
<p>Training Materials:<br />
We take our trainees several steps beyond gender sensitivity. Our instructional materials and delivery mechanisms are gender transformative<br />
and incorporate elements of confidence building and leadership. </p>
<p>A compendium of training materials and papers presented (both hard and electronic versions) will be provided for each trainee.</p>
<p>Transportation:<br />
Trainees will be responsible for their transportation to the training venue. WERHC can however arrange transportation including airport shuttles provided that trainees pick the bills.</p>
<p>Faculty:<br />
The training faculty for the 2010 courses is made up of seasoned professionals  and gender experts with vast experience in local and<br />
international organizations. </p>
<p>Tuition:<br />
N60, 000.00 flat rate. This covers the cost of training, materials,<br />
tea breaks, water and group lunch.</p>

<p>Methodology:<br />
A combination of participatory training methods will be employed including<br />
presentations, discussions, questions and answers, brainstorming, role<br />
plays, self assessments etc.</p>
<p>Training Materials:<br />
We take our trainees several steps beyond gender sensitivity. Our instructional materials and delivery mechanisms are gender transformative<br />
and incorporate elements of confidence building and leadership. </p>
<p>A compendium of training materials and papers presented (both hard and electronic versions) will be provided for each trainee.</p>
<p>Transportation:<br />
Trainees will be responsible for their transportation to the training venue. WERHC can however arrange transportation including airport shuttles provided that trainees pick the bills.</p>
<p>Faculty:<br />
The training faculty for the 2010 courses is made up of seasoned professionals  and gender experts with vast experience in local and<br />
international organizations. </p>
<p>Tuition:<br />
N60, 000.00 flat rate. This covers the cost of training, materials,<br />
tea breaks, water and group lunch.</p>

<p>This course which brings together a total of 30 participants from all over Africa is tailor-made for trainers, potential trainers, Gender focal persons, staff of Gender equality departments, gender equality advocates,mentors, team leaders, programme/project managers and coordinators, middle to senior executives with facilitating<br />
responsibilities and marketing managers.</p>
<p>The course is based on WERHC&#8217;s Gender Training Modules and will cover the following topics:</p>
<p>-What is training?<br />
-Exploring the Training Cycle,training needs assessment,design/planning,<br />
 implementation, monitoring and evaluation<br />
-Practical tips on organizing and executing trainings<br />
-Adult learning theories, principles and styles<br />
-Memory techniques<br />
-Training/facilitation skills,Qualities of a facili-trainer etc<br />
-Organizing effective work groups,Team development/group dynamics<br />
-How to use case studies, role plays,audio visuals, energisers<br />

announce its innovative course entitled: </p>
<p><b>Promoting Development through effective and Transformative Gender Trainings: A Training of Facili-Trainers. </p>
<p>WGI is an initiative geared towards building a critical mass of gender equality specialists around the globe, especially in Africa.<br />
Through WGI and other tailor-made courses, WERHC is poised to transform indigenous organizations into vibrant entities that deliver quality results in a timely and accountable manner.</p>
<p>This course which brings together a total of 30 participants from all over Africa is tailor-made for trainers, potential trainers, Gender focal persons, staff of Gender equality departments, gender equality advocates,mentors, team leaders, programme/project managers and coordinators, middle to senior executives with facilitating<br />
responsibilities and marketing managers.</p>
<p>The course is based on WERHC&#8217;s Gender Training Modules and will cover the following topics:</p>
<p>-What is training?<br />
-Exploring the Training Cycle,training needs assessment,design/planning,<br />
 implementation, monitoring and evaluation<br />
-Practical tips on organizing and executing trainings<br />
-Adult learning theories, principles and styles<br />
-Memory techniques<br />
-Training/facilitation skills,Qualities of a facili-trainer etc<br />
-Organizing effective work groups,Team development/group dynamics<br />
-How to use case studies, role plays,audio visuals, energisers<br />
-Gender-related concepts and gender analytical frameworks<br />
-Power relations and decision-making<br />
-Gender and Masculinity<br />
-Promoting male support for gender mainstreaming<br />
-Understanding Gender Analytical frameworks<br />
-Applying gender to Governance,Reproductive Health,HIV/AIDS, Violence,<br />
 Education<br />
-Gender Management Systems</p>
<p>Methodology:<br />
A combination of participatory training methods will be employed including<br />
presentations, discussions, questions and answers, brainstorming, role<br />
plays, self assessments etc.</p>
<p>Training Materials:<br />
We take our trainees several steps beyond gender sensitivity. Our instructional materials and delivery mechanisms are gender transformative<br />
and incorporate elements of confidence building and leadership. </p>
<p>A compendium of training materials and papers presented (both hard and electronic versions) will be provided for each trainee.</p>
<p>Transportation:<br />
Trainees will be responsible for their transportation to the training venue. WERHC can however arrange transportation including airport shuttles provided that trainees pick the bills.</p>
<p>Faculty:<br />
The training faculty for the 2010 courses is made up of seasoned professionals  and gender experts with vast experience in local and<br />
international organizations. </p>
<p>Tuition:<br />
N60, 000.00 flat rate. This covers the cost of training, materials,<br />
tea breaks, water and group lunch.</p>

<p>The <strong>Nigeria ICT Forum of Partnership Institutions</strong>, Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), Fantsuam Foundation, and Telecom Answers Associates advocate that Nigeria should also develop and adopt a Broadband for Nigeria (BB4NG) Strategy Framework, with the fullest participation of stakeholders.<span id="more-559"></span></p>
<p>The aim is to produce a Framework Document that will guide the provision of broadband internet access to all Nigerians. This document will then be presented to the Federal Government of Nigeria and key stakeholder groups for inclusion in relevant policies and to guide broadband implementation. Towards that end, the project has received some support from the Partnership for Higher Education in Africa (PHEA) through the <strong>Association for Progressive Communications</strong> (APC) of South Africa, to initiate the process and convene a <strong>Stakeholders’ Forum</strong>.</p>
