<p>PATA is embarking on a project to train,mentor and technically support young women living with HIV to become Treatment Advocates.<br />
<span id="more-426"></span><br />
To achieve this,PATA calls for applications from young women living with HIV to participate in a one year treatment literacy programme which will include a five day capacity residential building workshop in Lagos and a Site visit to a HIV Treatment Centre.</p>
<p>The five day residential workshop will be followed by a one month Internship period during which the young women will be expected to identify and conduct step down treatment education sessions for a minimum of three support groups including an HIV clinic in their<br />
community.</p>
<p>The training is open to young Nigerian women living with HIV aged 18-29 committed to developing their leadership and advocacy skills.</p>
<p>The young women must meet the following criteria:<br />
- Good command of spoken and written English<br />
- Ability to communicate properly in relevant native dialect<br />
- Ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure<br />
- Capacity to take initiative and work with minimal supervision</p>
