Positive Action for Treatment Access (PATA) is a non-governmental organisation working to ensure that every individual has access to treatment education and can access qualitative, affordable, ethical and humane treatment which will empower them take charge of their health and lives.

PATA is embarking on a project to train,mentor and technically support young women living with HIV to become Treatment Advocates.

To achieve this,PATA calls for applications from young women living with HIV to participate in a one year treatment literacy programme which will include a five day capacity residential building workshop in Lagos and a Site visit to a HIV Treatment Centre.

The five day residential workshop will be followed by a one month Internship period during which the young women will be expected to identify and conduct step down treatment education sessions for a minimum of three support groups including an HIV clinic in their
community.

The training is open to young Nigerian women living with HIV aged 18-29 committed to developing their leadership and advocacy skills.

The young women must meet the following criteria:
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Ability to communicate properly in relevant native dialect
- Ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure
- Capacity to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
